Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
bidcom.lol (“we”, “us”) is operated by Sebastian Global Holding Group LLC, 7901 4th St N Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@bidcom.lol.
2. What data we collect
There are no accounts here and we keep no customer records. Our database stores the community you list and the amounts paid for it, never a personal profile: no names, no billing details. Beyond that we only see the technical data any website receives, such as IP addresses in server logs and analytics.
- Submitted listing data: the community name, URL/handle, category, and description you provide when placing a bid, plus the bid amount. This information is about the community, not about you, and it is displayed publicly on the leaderboard.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe collects an email address at checkout to send your receipt; that address stays in Stripe under our account and is not copied into our database. All our own records hold is which listing was paid for and how much.
- Usage data: standard analytics data such as pages visited, referring site, device/browser type, and approximate location (derived from IP address), collected via Vercel Web Analytics and PostHog. Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- Basic site metrics: page views and click counts on listings, stored in our own database, used to power the public “Live stats” page (aggregated numbers only, not tied to individual visitors).
3. Third-party services we use
| Service | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, payment amount, billing details |
| Supabase | Database hosting | Listing data, aggregated site metrics |
| PostHog | Product analytics | IP address (for approximate location), browser/device info, page interactions |
| Vercel | Hosting and privacy-friendly web analytics | Standard server logs (IP, request data), aggregated page views without cookies |
| Tapdust | Community outreach / lead enrichment | Publicly available community contact info, listing data |
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data they process on our behalf.
4. Marketing outreach to listed communities
When you submit a community listing (name, URL/handle, category, description, and any publicly available contact details associated with it), we may use tools such as Tapdust to collect additional publicly available information about that community (e.g. contact details, social profiles, or community size) and to send outreach messages, including offers to purchase a listing, upgrade a ranking, or promotional offers related to our services. This outreach is directed at the community itself (e.g. its public contact address), not at individual members of that community.
If you run a community and do not want to receive these messages, you can opt out at any time by contacting us at support@bidcom.lol.
5. Cookies
We use cookies/local storage for:
- Remembering your dark mode and sound preferences
- A random ID stored in your browser so visitors can be counted without accounts. It is not linked to a name, an email or anything you do off this site.
- Analytics (PostHog sets cookies to distinguish visitors; Vercel Web Analytics sets none)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features (like saved preferences) may not work correctly if you do.
6. How long we keep data
- Listing data (name, URL, category, description, bid amount) is kept as long as the leaderboard is active, since it is the core public content of the service.
- Payment records are kept as required by Stripe and applicable tax/accounting law.
- Analytics data is retained according to PostHog’s default retention settings (see PostHog’s own privacy policy for specifics).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA), you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing (e.g. analytics)
To exercise any of these, contact us at support@bidcom.lol. Note that removing your listing does not entitle you to a refund of the bid amount already paid (see the Rules page).
8. Children’s privacy
This service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
